CEDAR:

The CEDAR is a highly sophisticated electro-optical panoramic Intruder Detection System which automatically detects motion in a wide panoramic view.

The CEDAR operation is completely passive. The system incorporates FLIR camera supplied by CONTROP. Alternatively, the customer's camera can be integrated.

The CEDAR has two modes of operation: * Panoramic scan mode for intruder detection. * Observation mode with live video for intruder recognition and identification. The scan sector can be selected in both, azimuth and elevation axes.

The CEDAR system is operated and controlled by a Control and Display Unit (CDU) which consists of a Personal Computer (PC) equipped with specific proprietary software. The wide Azimuth and Elevation dynamic range is provided by an accurate motorized Pan and Tilt Unit controlled by the CDU.

The CEDAR has an option to integrate an Eyesafe Laser Range Finder, for accurate target positioning and a daylight camera.

cedar Main Features:
  • Day and night automatic intruder detection.
  • Panoramic wide scan and panoramic scene display.
  • Automatic, passive intruder detection in real time.
  • Multiple target detection.
  • Intruder recognition using zoom-in or NFOV observation.
  • Integrated with an Automatic Video Tracker (AVT).
  • Option for using Customer's FLIR sensors.
  • External PC interface RS232 for target's data communication (optional).
  • Digital recording to PC hard disc (optional).

Applications:

  • Security of High-value Sensitive Installations (such as Nuclear Power Generation Facilities, Armed Forces Facilities, Oil Refineries etc.).
