Fibre Optics

CIS is able to design, supply, install and commission Fibre Optic Backbones for small to large scale projects, including Multi-Mode and Single Mode Systems.

Fibre Optic Systems are designed to ensure a cost effective system with additional redundancy if required.  A combination of fibre cores ranging from 4 to 16-core cables are used. 

Depending on the requirements various types for Fibre Optic Cables are used, such as Heavy Duty Duct (HDD), Corrugated Steel Tape (CST) and Steel Wired Armoured (SWA).

Termination of the Fibre Backbone is of utmost importance, therefore we supply complete Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) certification results after each completed installation.

We are also able to supply the appropriate media converters.  These include Ethernet, Video, Data (RS422/485) and Audio Converters.
